I was an archivist for 17 years and have been researching this topic for the last 10 years. I completed my Masters in History at the University of Otago (part-time) and produced a digital format thesis [found here]. I’m currently a Heritage Assessment Advisor for Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga.
I am very passionate about taking archives and heritage to the world via digital/social media platforms and love the OpenGLAM concept.
I have previously been a Councillor on the National Council of Archives and Records Association of New Zealand (ARANZ),a member of the National Digital Forum of New Zealand, Chairperson of the Basil Hooper Project Group and am currently Treasurer for the Professional Historians’ Association of Aotearoa New Zealand.
